About Dr Erika Hendrix

Dr. Hendrix is a cutting-edge innovator, creator and emerging leader of the 2023 century with a cutting-edge approach into the Marketplace and Ministry arenas. Dr. Hendrix is a native of Greensboro, NC where she was born and raised. Dr. Hendrix was the first female in immediate family to accept the call into ministry.
Dr. Hendrix earned her B.S degree of Political Science in 1995 from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA & T) in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Hendrix matriculated to Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC and earned her M. Div 2003. Dr. Hendrix took some time off and with the leading of the Holy Spirit she entered Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, GA where she earned her D. Min in 2011.
Dr. Hendrix professional work experience is vast. Currently, she serves dually as Executive Directors with two mental agencies that her mom and sister started over 18 years ago. In their non-profit agency Positive Connection Care, Inc they successfully developed an Inclusion summer camp and after-school program for children with special needs for 8 years. Our for-profit agency Creative Management Source, Inc serves adults 18+ older who have diagnoses of Intellectually Developmental Disable (IDD) and individual who are dual diagnosed with IDD and Mental Health (MH). Our purpose is to offer comprehensive services/supports to the people we serve through empowerment, advocacy, vocational developmental and daily skills.
Dr. Hendrix had the privilege to serve as an Adjunct Professor at Apex School of Theology and Hosanna Bible College for (2016-2021). Previous professional work experience including working with the Greensboro Housing Authority where she earned several HUD certifications and served as a Property Manager and Guilford County School System.
Dr. Hendrix has been a proclaimer of Gospel for over 28 years, and she would not trade anything for it. Dr. Hendrix takes great pleasure in serving God’s people through leadership development and challenging leaders in their theology, psychology, and anthropology. Dr.Hendrix discovered her footing during the pandemic in the virtual worship space encounter. Dr.Hendrix gained over 5K follower during the pandemic, and she gained a greater appreciation for the call and the gift of God on her life. Dr. Hendrix believes that God is multifaceted He not only can meet you in the physical space, but she saw God meet us in a tremendous way in the virtual space.
Dr. Hendrix is the CEO/Founder of Emerging Leaders Consultants, LLC and the host of the podcast, “The Think Tank Unplugged.” Dr. Hendrix is the proud and ecstatic owner of Lady E Specs, LLC her owner unique eyewear line that was launched in February 2020. Finally, one of her greatest accomplishments is the release of her first book released in 2019, “Open Letter to the Black Church Reclaiming Our Time.”
